Christina Aguilera To Sing The National Anthem At The Superbowl

Fox and the NFL have officially announced that Christina Aguilera will perform the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Now I’m not really a football fan but I always love the pregame and half time entertainment that comes with the Super Bowl!

Last year’s Super Bowl was the most watched TV program ever with over 153 million viewers, but that’s not bothering Christina! In a statement Christina said that;

“I have been performing the Anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true,”
“I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event.”

With Christina Aguilera performing the national anthem and The Black Eyed Peas performing during the half time show it sounds like this is going to be a fantastic game – at least entertainment wise! Will you be watching?!

OMG! What is going on with Christina Aguilera these days? First there was the report of weird living arrangements, then the rumor that she got into it with her ‘Burlesque’ co-star, Julianne Hough, and today Us Weekly reports that Christina got drunk and passed out in Jeremy Renner’s bed.
This was after she showed up, reportedly uninvited, to the new ‘Mission Impossible 4′ star’s 40th birthday bash. Jeremy reportedly complained to people about it at a Golden Globes party after running into Christina.

“Someone comes and tells me she’s in my room,” he told pals at the Jan. 16 affair. “I run up and open the door and I’m like, ‘Um, hi. What are you doing?’ She just starts slurring. Her boyfriend [Matthew Rutler] was rubbing her back. Who comes to someone’s birthday party that they don’t know and gets in their bed?! My parents were there!”

Goodness!

Adds another source, “Christina was a mess at that party. She acted like a fool. Her boyfriend was shushing her and telling her to go to sleep.”

Now it should be noted that Jeremy’s rep told Us Weekly:

Aguilera “was enjoying herself, but she wasn’t in his bed.”

Did Christina Aguilerea get down and dirrty with Julianna Hough at a party over the weekend?

Insiders tell E! News that Aguilera confronted her Burlesque co-star at a pre-Golden Globes shindig at the Soho House in Hollywood on Friday night.

"Christina really got in her face," a witness claims, detailing how Aguilera unleashed a verbal assault on Hough and tried to grab her.

 

The day after an alleged confrontation between these two, Christina Aguilera and Julianne Hough sizzled on the red carpet.

Sources on the set of their movie say Aguilera and Hough never got along, although it's unclear why the former allegedly threatened the country singing career of the latter in this incident.

"The whole thing was troubling. People felt bad for Julianne," said an onlooker.

Aguilera's rep, of course, refers to this report as "nonsense." No word yet from anyone in Hough's camp.

We JUST saw Christina Aguilera out with her boyfriend Matt Rutler in Milan last night. Today we have shots of the singer/actress in Berlin alongside Cher and Kristen Bell to help promote their movie ‘Burlesque’. Talk about frequent flyer miles! This girl has been everywhere this month!

I love how Christina Aguilera wore braids in her hair for this premiere. You can barely make out pink highlights in the extensions. Guess she wanted to have a little fun this time around.

Oh well this just sounds a bit odd to me! Sources claim that Christina Aguilera thinks that life would be a little easier if her soon to be ex-husband, Jordan Bratman and her new boyfriend, Matthew Rutler became friends. Um, I just don’t see that happening! The source tells More! Magazine that;

“I’m sure Christina thinks that if Matt and Jordan can become friends, the whole situation will be easier.”

 However the source claims that Jordan doesn’t seem too keen on that idea (I can’t really blame him!)

“I doubt Jordan’s convinced. Some people think he must be humiliated by the public breakdown of his marriage and hurt by her recent comments about how she knew they were over. Not to mention her very public relationship.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s fed up with playing nice, but with their son to consider, we can understand why they’d want to make peace.”

It would be nice for them to get along for the sake of their son, but I do think she’s moved along to a very public relationship pretty quickly – don’t you think? And to be honest with you, I don’t really see this new relationship lasting very long, but maybe that’s just me! Would you want to meet your ex’s new significant other?!

ANOTHER date night for Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler. Man – these two can’t be apart. This is the third time they were photographed together this week. Have you gotten used to this celebrity couple?

Here they are leaving the Stephen Webster jewelry store in London late last night. The singer was in town to perform on ‘X Factor’. Apparently her performance was SUPER raunchy and audience members are complaining to the production company.


Christina Aguilera was on stage with dancers in lingerie. Thousands of complaints were registered with media regulator Ofcom. Yup – that sounds about right for an Aguilera performance.

But she says it could never be TOO raunchy.

“I don’t think there is such a thing as too raunchy when it comes to the art form of burlesque. I think it’s very empowering to women to feel confident in their own skin and their own bodies and I think this movie definitely represents that.”
